Basically anything that falls into nonfiction: self-help, memoir, essays, biography, etc. We love fiction at The Writers Room, but this cohort is specifically for nonfiction writers.

No. The only requirement is that you’re serious about the craft of writing.

Yes and no. We’re not agents or publishing pros—we’re experts in creating books. But we will provide a plethora of resources, connections, and past experiences to help you navigate the publishing process.

We'll start with a quick chat to start, followed by a brief tip or teaching from your writing coach, Rachel Miller. Then, two or three members will have the floor to workshop their writing or anything related to their work. We'll conclude with accountability checks and a bit of creative inspiration to motivate us until the following meeting!

That’s okay, life happens! But we do want you to attend as many as possible. Your commitment to this group is actually a commitment to your own writing—and you’re worth the investment. We'll send out meeting notes and resources for members who have to miss.
